Anne Conzemius is co-Founder and President of QLD Learning in Madison, Wisconsin. Anne is the co-author of 4 books that provide the framework and tools needed by educational leaders at all levels of the K-12 system to continuously improve both adult and student learning. Through her writing and her work, Anne has established herself as the definitive expert on the effective application of S.M.A.R.T. goals in K-12 education.
As Anne and her co-author established in their most recent work, More Than a SMART Goal – Staying Focused on Student Learning, S.M.A.R.T. Goals are part of a larger, iterative, stepped process that begins with appropriate data. The process includes the identification of the Greatest Area of Need at various levels of altitude, effective goal-setting, determination of applicable best practices, and ongoing progress monitoring towards the goal.
Anne‘s work as Lead Consultant for QLD Learning spans schools and districts, large and small, throughout the United States and Canada. Prior to founding QLD Learning, Anne served as a School Psychologist, Director of Employee Development and Training, and Assistant to the State Superintendent in Wisconsin. Anne earned a Master’s Degree from the University of Wisconsin in Madison in Educational Psychology and a second Master’s in Human Resource Management from the Industrial Relations Research Institute at UW-Madison.
In addition to her years in Education, Anne has been a consultant for many business organizations, including Ray-O-Vac, Briggs & Stratton, and Heartland Health Foundation. Anne also served as Director of Employee Development for the Wisconsin Department of Employee Relations.
