Hilde McGeehan

Hilde McGeehan, an educator for thirty-three years, has been a classroom teacher at the elementary, middle and high school level. At the high school level, she taught both English and German. Hilde McGeehan holds a BA and a MA in Curriculum and Instruction from Rider University.

For the last twenty-one years, Hilde McGeehan has been the Staff Development Coordinator for the Council Rock School District in Pennsylvania. In this role she planned and facilitated the New Teacher Induction Program which includes follow-up coaching. She also initiated the district’s New Teacher/Mentor Program and is responsible for the training of mentor teachers. As Staff Development Coordinator, Hilde McGeehan also coordinates and presents programs for veteran teachers. In addition to presenting a variety of workshop topics within her own school district, Hilde McGeehan has presented in various school districts throughout Pennsylvania and New Jersey.

Since 1990, Hilde McGeehan co-facilitated the Summer Writing Institute for the Pennsylvania Writing and Literature Project through West Chester University. For the last two years she also taught methodology classes at the University of Pennsylvania Graduate School of Education.
