Jeanne Robertson is a humorist who believes humor is a lot more than a laughing matter, but a strategy for success! She is a 6’2″ Miss Congeniality winner in the Miss America Pageant. At first Jeanne thought of speaking as a way to make a little money while continuing her education. She began teaching education but requests kept pouring in for her to speak. In 1976, she stopped teaching and began professionally speaking full time. Clients and speakers alike were quick to recognize her ability to speak. She has been awarded the Certified Speaking Professional designation (CSP) in 1980 and has been induced in the CPAE Speaker Hall Of Fame in 1981. Also, she is the first woman to receive the top award for professional speaking, the Cavett Award. Jeanne is so successful because she knows that a sense of humor is an attitude, an approach toward working with people. She believes this humorist attitude can be taught and improved. She teaches how to do so while captivating her audience with funny, real life, everyday stories.
