Brian Mandell has served as a teacher, teacher trainer, department chair, mentor, and educational consultant. Mandell has applied his experience as an environmental consultant to middle school science classrooms in Westbrook, Maine, and Fairfax County, Va. He is a self-directed and enthusiastic educator with a commitment to the learning experience.
Throughout his career, Brian Mandell‘s special interests have included interactive learning, integrating technology, and online assessments. In the spring of 2003, he presented a new role-reversal assessment strategy at the National Science Teachers Association meeting in Philadelphia, Pa.
Brian Mandell‘s consulting experience includes advising Northrop Grumman on the content and design of the ASPIRE Assessment System and on the creation and implementation of teacher training. Mandell, who holds a master’s degree of science in education from the University of Southern Maine and a bachelor’s degree in environmental science from the University of Delaware, was also a founding partner of The Learner’s Compass, LLC, an educational consulting firm specializing in teacher training and student enrichment and remediation.
