Kim D. Ellis of Baytown, Texas, has been a professional educator since 1978 and has a proven record of success providing academic coaching to elementary, middle, and high schools across the United States. Ellis has an exceptional understanding of the cognitive development issues facing students today and instructional strategies that promote success. Kim Ellis has established a stellar record of educational leadership through her work with instructional leadership teams, as a peer facilitator, and through implementing a campus adult literacy program. She most recently authored Cookin’ in the Classroom, a new approach to summer school and after-school tutorials. Ellis also authored Putting the Pieces Together, a workbook to help build students’ cognitive abilities. She is a member of Phi Delta Kappa with an M.Ed. in Curriculum and Instruction.
