She draws from her own journey of climbing out of the depths of emotional turmoil at the death of her best-friend mother, her inspirational dad, and her own battle with breast cancer. Reed has channeled her passions to serve as an “Ambassador for Cancer,” using 100% of the proceeds from her book to fund two cancer charities for perpetuity.
Reed is a highly sought-after speaker at professional conferences around the world, and is a regular speaker and lecturer at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania’s LEAD Program, Howard University School of Business, Leadership conferences in partnership with KPMG, and Executive MBA/Education Programs.

Reed is an active member of her community, serving on several professional and non-for-profit boards as a member, executive council member and chair. She is also a member of The Links, Inc., one of the nation’s oldest and largest volunteer service organizations of accomplished, dedicated African American Women who are active in their communities and a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated with over 300, 000 members globally.
