Thomas Wood

Thomas Wood is the president of Watershed Associates and author of the Best Negotiating Practices workshop series. Tom delivers workshops worldwide on negotiating and is a contributing writer for the business press. Thomas Wood is a frequent speaker and trainer for industry and government. Recognized as a national opinion leader, Thomas Wood was selected by the Secretary of Defense to participate in the Joint Civilian Orientation Conference (JCOC).

With more than 25 years of experience in sales, product management and engineering, Thomas Wood brings a broad base of knowledge and practical experience to his clients. He has negotiated hundreds of agreements as a sales executive in the IT industry. Previously, Tom worked for Wang Laboratories, TRW, Computer Sciences Corporation, and NCR, with such responsibilities as developing business, managing and negotiating multi-million dollar contracts, developing pricing strategies, managing an international computer network, and designing computer networking products.

Thomas Wood has a personal passion for fishing and sailing on the Chesapeake Bay. He has devoted his talents to the resolution of conflicts between economic development and restoration of the Bay. As a community leader and advocate, Thomas Wood has facilitated many public meetings between industry, government, and citizen groups to help promote consensus and solve complex community challenges for which he received a Governor’s Citation. Thomas Wood holds a bachelor’s degree in business and engineering from the University of Maryland.
