Bo Jackson
Bo Jackson is the only athlete in history named an All-Star in both Major League Baseball and the National Football League, and the 1985 Heisman Trophy winner out of Auburn University. He speaks on resilience, competitive mindset, and life after sports for corporate, healthcare, and sports-industry audiences.
Jackson rushed for over 1,700 yards and scored 17 touchdowns in his Heisman-winning 1985 season at Auburn, then went on to a four-year NFL career with the Los Angeles Raiders and an eight-year MLB career with the Kansas City Royals, Chicago White Sox, and California Angels. His crossover fame was cemented by Nike’s “Bo Knows” campaign, one of the most recognized athlete-endorsement campaigns in sports marketing history.
After a hip injury ended his NFL career, Jackson returned to Major League Baseball with an artificial hip and homered in his first at-bat back — a comeback that became a defining moment of his story on resilience. Since retiring from professional sports, he has built several ventures across the beef and seafood industry and, through Promise Nutraceuticals, the Hero Brand CBD line.
Jackson is also the founder of “Bo Bikes Bama,” a charity bike ride that has raised more than $2,000,000 for disaster preparedness and relief efforts in Alabama, and supports underprivileged youth through the “Give Me a Chance” foundation, which provides educational opportunities and elite sports training.
