
Michael A. Young, MHA, FACHE, is President and Chief Executive Officer of Temple University Hospital (TUH), one of the Philadelphia region’s most respected academic medical centers and the chief clinical training site for Temple University’s Lewis Katz School of Medicine (LKSOM).
A 732-bed non-profit acute care hospital, TUH includes a flagship campus in North Philadelphia adjacent to LKSOM, as well as Episcopal and Northeastern campuses within three miles of the main and medical school campus. TUH provides a broad spectrum of primary, secondary, tertiary, and quaternary care to patients throughout the tri-state area and beyond. It is accredited as an Adult Level 1 Trauma Center by the Pennsylvania Trauma Systems Foundation and is a Regional Burn Center.
Mr. Young is a four-time CEO with more than three decades of proven leadership at institutions including Pinnacle Health System, in Harrisburg; Grady Memorial Hospital, in Atlanta; Erie County Medical Center, in Buffalo; and Lancaster General Hospital & Health System.
He earned his Bachelor and Master of Health Administration degrees from the University of Pittsburgh and is a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives.
