Carmen Ciricillo has been touring nationally since 1990 as The Construction Comic.
One of the unique aspects of Carmen’s stand up routine is his Construction Comedy routine. From 1990 to 1992 at the “Santa Monica Improv” in California, he developed an act solely based on the construction business. This specialized niche of comedy has been extremely well received not only by the construction industry, but also by audiences in general. Imagine watching a comedian and listening to hilarious, clean humor on a topic you have never heard before. That is what Carmen does! “My act plays well for every group” says the comedian. In fact, XM and Sirius Satellite Radio has been playing Carmen Ciricillo‘s Construction Comedy CD to their audiences of over 10 million subscribers since 2005.

Carmen quickly caught Hollywood fever and moved there in 1990, where almost immediately he was cast on the television game show “Hold Everything” with Pat Bullard. That’s when he became a regular at the Santa Monica Improv, And after being encouraged by Mark Lonow, one of the clubs’ owners, Carmen Ciricillo wrote his unique routine on his family’s construction business which propelled his career to a new level.
In 1991, after an appearance at the Laugh Factory near Chicago, Carmen Ciricillo was asked to perform for the Northern Illinois Home Builder’s Association.
